Frequently asked questions about wedding videos

Q. What music can I have on my DVD?

A. Music is an important part of wedding videos, helping to create mood and atmosphere. However, virtually all music is covered by copyright and it is illegal to copy music from CDs etc. without the required licenses.

If you want to choose your own favourite music we will arrange the necessary music copyright licenses so that there is no legal risk to yourselves or us. This means that you can choose any tracks that you like and we will edit them into your DVD.

Q. Are you insured if there was an accident while you were filming?

A. We take our responsibilities seriously and are fully covered by Public Liability Insurance. Accidents do happen, so we would strongly suggest that you ensure that ALL your wedding services providers are fully insured - just in case!

Q. Will we be able to meet you before the wedding?

Your wedding videographer will be an important part of your day and we strongly recommend that you meet them to discuss your requirements face-to-face. We will be happy to arrange a meeting at our studio to discuss your wedding video in detail. Obviously during the busy summer season our availability is somewhat limited and we are not normally available at weekends - for obvious reasons!

In any event we will send you a detailed questionnaire before the wedding so we have full details of the day and your specific requirements.

Q. Can we pre-view our video and make any changes?

A. Making change after the editing has finished can be time-consuming and therefore costly. Additional editing is not included in the cost of our packages.

However, we understand that you might want to see the master edit before we author and produced the finished DVDs. If you want to pre-view your wedding video we can produce a pre-view DVD for you. This obviously involves additional time and cost as well as holding up the editing stage, so there is a £50 charge for this.

If, after watching the pre-view, you want us to do extra editing for you, we will charge a reduced rate of £25 per hour instead of our normal rate of £35 per hour. If you do want additional editing, in addition to the reduced editing rate you also save the cost of re-mastering the DVD master.

However, we should stress that the our clients are usually delighted with the original edit and very few want anything changed. You will have to let us know before the wedding if you want us to send you a pre-view DVD
